TrinityZone Bookstore Featured as Microsoft "Showcase Site"
Internet Christian Bookstore Earns Microsoft Recognition
ANN ARBOR, MI – January 26, 1998 -- TrinityZone.com, the
Internet’s leading online Christian bookstore, has been selected by Microsoft
Corporation as one of its Site Server "Showcase Sites". Other sites
selected in the category include the Eddie Bauer Catalog Store, Godiva
Chocolates, and the Marriott Gift Certificate Store.
Launched fourteen months ago following the Merchant Server
launch by Microsoft founder and CEO Bill Gates, TrinityZone was developed using
Microsoft’s Merchant Server retail software package. TrinityZone owner, Bob
Steele, states "our customers have been very pleased with our product selection
and the level of service we have been able to give them." TrinityZone carries over 65,000 Christian books, Bibles, music and software products. The
online store offers a wide variety of "Online Merchandising"
alternatives including several Bestseller lists, author & artist sketches,
over 200 Departments, Dove and Gold Medallion Awards and a variety of
easy-to-use searches - including music by Song Title.

The store can be personalized for shopping convenience - you
can record your favorite authors and musicians and quickly view all their new
releases anytime you come to the store. TrinityZone accepts payment using the
Microsoft Wallet and uses VeriFone for secure credit card transactions. The
large database is managed using Microsoft Access97 front-ending SQL-Server.
In November of 1997, TrinityZone upgraded to Microsoft’s
BackOffice (NT Server, SQL-Server and Enterprise Server/EE Commerce Server) for
reliability and high-performance. Active Server pages automate daily specials
and easily handle large search results (thousands of titles). Commerce Server
provides a rich development environment; a flexible Order Pipeline for control
of shipping and taxes, excellent reliability and high performance.
TrinityZone.com was founded in 1996 as a division of Trinity
& Associates, Inc. and is managed by Bob Steele with technical development
by Robert Christensen. Combined, they have extensive experience in both the
retail and wholesale distribution segments of the Christian book selling
industry, computer systems, and EDI.
